Fire Fighter I/II

Future Classes will be taking place, please contact South Metro for information.

This program is designed to provide the firefighter candidate with the information needed to meet the fire-related performance objectives in NFPA 1001-2002 standard. This program is based on IFSTA's Essentials of Fire Fighting IV Edition curriculum. Upon successful completion of the course the student may apply and test for certification with the Missouri Division of Fire Safety.

The Class will meet Monday and Wednesday Evenings, from 6pm to 10pm with Saturday meetings, 8am to 12pm, as needed throughout the course. The course will last until November of 2008. To enroll students must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma, and a valid drivers license.

Emergency Medical Technician - Basic

Future classes will be taking place. Please contact South Metro for more information on future EMT classes.

This program provides the opportunity to gain information and to develop skills necessary to administer basic life support care to the ill or injured in the pre-hospital setting. Upon the defined successful completion of the class, the student may apply & test for certification with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
